A Big Thank You to Hon. Wayne Long!

Yesterday, September 9th, the Okotoks & District Chamber of Commerce had the honour of hosting the Honourable Wayne Long, Secretary of State (CRA and Financial Institutions), for a roundtable discussion with local business leaders.

The conversation looked ahead — covering the good and bad of tariffs, and how they're sparking important conversations around production in Canada and the need to reinvest at home. We also talked through the opportunities on the horizon, gaps in government funding access for SMEs and municipalities, and practical ways the CRA can improve service and remove barriers for business owners.

Thank you, Hon. Wayne Long, for requesting this opportunity — your willingness to sit down and listen means a lot to our business community.

Proceeds from the tournament will support the Chamber’s Youth Scholarship Program, helping graduating students throughout the Foothills region pursue university, college and apprenticeship opportunities.
