Fall Fest
📅Sunday, September 20
🕑10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
📍WJ Henderson Community Centre, 322 Amherst Drive, Amherstview

Celebrate the season at Fall Fest! Browse more than 20 local vendors and artisans offering farm-fresh flowers, honey, jams, baked goods, apple cider, and more. Enjoy a free kids craft area, face painting, and free ice cream for the first 60 children.

Indigenous Drum Circle & Cultural Experience
📅Saturday, September 26
🕑4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
📍Rossland Gardens on Amherst Island, 6400 Concession Road 2, Stella

Join Métis facilitator Joanne Macksey for a complimentary Indigenous Drum Circle & Cultural Experience at Rossland Gardens on Amherst Island. Participants are invited to gather for shared drumming, Indigenous teachings, stories, and conversation in a welcoming outdoor setting. No drumming experience is required, and guests are welcome to bring a lawn chair or blanket. The evening concludes with complimentary refreshments and community connection. Advance registration is required.

Little chefs, big skills! ✨👨‍🍳 Ready to take your child’s cooking skills to the next level? Our Culinary Kids programs are designed to build confidence, creativity, and real kitchen skills — all while having fun!

🍪 Culinary Kids | Ages 5–8
A fun, hands-on introduction to cooking where young chefs can explore new ingredients, learn kitchen basics, and create delicious recipes.

🍳 Culinary Kids Academy | Ages 9–12
Ready for the next challenge? This progression program takes kitchen skills further with more advanced techniques and challenging recipes designed to build confidence and independence.

With sports like soccer, basketball, and dodgeball, participants will develop teamwork and sportsmanship skills while building coordination, balance, and overall fitness.

Join us for the opening event in our fall Culture Talks series, featuring music, craftsmanship and storytelling with Ross Stuart of Rossland TinCan banjo/ukulele & Fiddle.

Ross Stuart will trace the origins of the Rossland TinCan banjo/ukulele & fiddle, introduce his current family of handmade acoustic metal stringed instruments, and share what he and Darlene Martin-Stuart have been building at Rossland Gardens on Amherst Island. The talk will include live demonstrations of the instruments’ distinctive sounds, followed by an audience question-and-answer period.

Ross Stuart is an artisanal luthier and co-founder of Rossland Gardens, a historic farmstead, gallery of Canadian fine craft, and curated garden destination on Amherst Island. Working from his studio at Rossland Gardens, Ross designs and builds stringed instruments entirely from metal, bringing together inventive engineering, musical curiosity, and fine hand craftsmanship.
