Firefighters, town councillors, and provincial and federal representatives joined a Fire Fit tower stair climb in Oakville as part of a memorial recognizing those lost in the World Trade Center attacks.

The climb ended. The remembrance continued. 🚒

Following this morning’s 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, our brothers and sisters continued to honour those lost on September 11, 2001.

At 9:59 a.m. the moment the South Tower collapsed, our members stood together at their stations and observed one minute of silence.

This was the scene at Station 3, just one of nine Oakville fire stations where our brothers and sisters stood in remembrance.

We remember the 2,977 lives lost, including the 343 firefighter brothers and sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

From the climb to our stations, we remember together.

25 years later. Never forgotten. 🖤
