For many families across Halton, child care is part of everyday life.

It’s what helps parents get to work, children build confidence and social skills, and families stay connected to their community.

As Halton continues to grow, so do the challenges families and child care operators are facing, that’s why we’re proud to launch our new Early Learning and Child Care Plan: 2026–2030, a roadmap of actions focused on strengthening early learning and child care across our community over the next five years.

🚑 Better Care Starts Here – Paramedic Services Week is May 17-23

Our Paramedic Services team is there when it matters most — 24/7, 365 days a year — providing expert, compassionate care to our community. 💙

Each year, they respond to more than 60,000 emergency calls and transport nearly 36,000 patients to the hospital. Behind every number is a moment where their skill and care make a real difference.

It’s been a challenging year, with increasingly complex calls and a rise in violence against paramedics. Despite this, their dedication never wavers. 👏

The Paramedic Services flag will fly at Halton Regional Centre until May 25 🚩 — a symbol of pride and recognition for these incredible frontline professionals.

🙌 Join us in thanking our paramedics and support staff for their unwavering courage, compassion, and commitment to our community every single day!
