🚒 The results are in!

After months of training, the Oakville Extrication Team placed 8th at the Holmatro Rescue World Challenge in Germany, competing against rescue teams from around the world. 🌍

The team gained valuable experience, knowledge, and skills that they will bring back to Oakville to help enhance the service they provide to our community Town of Oakville.👏🚒

This week’s focus: fireground operations and hose stream management, strengthening the skills, confidence, and teamwork needed to perform safely and effectively when every second counts.

Our new recruits are hard at work building the skills they’ll need on the job. From fireground operations, roof operations 🏠, ventilation 💨, and search and rescue 🔍, to ladder 🪜 and aerial operations 🚒, every evolution helps prepare them for the challenges they may face while serving our community.

Behind every successful emergency response are hours of dedication, teamwork, and training. We’re proud to watch the next generation of firefighters develop their skills and confidence every step of the way.

🚒🚓 A great day at Hopedale Montessori School for the First Responders Event! 🎉

We joined forces with Halton Regional Police Service to connect with students, showcase our emergency vehicles, and share important fire and life safety messages. While we often talk about being community helpers, we're also proud to be community partners 🤝working together to keep our community safe, informed, and prepared.

🚒☀️ A beautiful day for fire safety education at Kidex Academy!

Our firefighters and Public Educators brought the aerial truck to teach the kids about community helpers and an important lesson: even when we're wearing all our gear, we're still the same firefighters there to help and in a fire, never hide.

Building confidence, reducing fear, and making our community safer, one visit at a time. 🚒

⚓🚒 This past weekend, Fire Chief Paul Boissonneault had the honour of serving as the Reviewing Officer for the 27th Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Oakville Annual Ceremonial Review.

With 114 cadets between the ages of 12 and 19, the program is dedicated to developing leadership, citizenship, and physical fitness while helping shape the next generation of community leaders.

The Annual Ceremonial Review celebrates the cadets' hard work, growth, and accomplishments throughout the training year. Chief Boissonneault was proud to present awards and share a few words of encouragement with the cadets and their families.

Congratulations to all of the cadets, officers, volunteers, and supporters for another successful year. Your dedication, discipline, and commitment to serving your community are truly inspiring.
