🏍️ Just one week to go until the Ride for Dog Guides!

On June 20, riders from across Ontario will come together for a meaningful journey in support of Canadians who rely on Dog Guides for greater independence, safety, and confidence.

The Ride for Dog Guides will take participants from our Oakville Training School to our Breslau facility, helping raise funds to provide life-changing Dog Guides at no cost to those who need them.

Whether you're already registered or cheering from the sidelines, thank you for being part of a community that helps change lives—one ride at a time.

There's still time to get involved and make an impact. We can't wait to see you on the road next week!

The Motorcycle Ride for Dog Guides presented by Green Capes Trust Foundation. has always been about more than the kilometres travelled — it’s about the people who make the journey meaningful.

As we prepare for the 2026 Motorcycle Ride for Dog Guides on June 20, we take a moment to remember and honour longtime supporter Robert Stanley.

Robert joined his first Ride in 2016 and went on to raise more than $127,000 in support of Dog Guides and the Canadians whose lives they transform. His passion, generosity, and unwavering commitment left a lasting mark on our community.

One of Robert’s favourite parts of the Ride was connecting with Dog Guide teams, volunteers, and fellow supporters. He understood the life-changing impact of these incredible partnerships and dedicated himself to ensuring more Canadians could benefit from them.

As riders gather this year and travel from our Oakville Training School to our Breslau facility, we will carry Robert’s legacy with us — celebrating the difference one person can make and the lives that continue to be changed because of supporters like him.

Thank you, Robert, for every kilometre ridden, every dollar raised, and every life touched.

🏍️ Join us on June 20 and help continue the journey he cared so deeply about.

To our walkers, donors, volunteers, sponsors, cheerleaders, organizers, and friends - THANK YOU!

As the 41st Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides weekend comes to a close, we are deeply grateful for everyone who helped make this year’s event such a success, including our incredible title sponsor, Pet Valu.

Because of your support, more Canadians living with disabilities will experience greater independence, confidence, and freedom through a Dog Guide. Together, you are helping transform lives and build a more accessible future.

While Walk Weekend is over, the campaign continues throughout June, with all donations received until June 30 counting toward our $1.6M goal. If you haven’t had a chance to give -or are considering one final gift - there’s still time to make a difference.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping change lives across Canada.

This National Accessibility Week, we celebrate inclusion, independence, and a more accessible Canada for all.

Accessibility is about more than removing physical barriers—it's about ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in their communities with confidence and dignity.

For Canadians living with disabilities, Dog Guides can help make that possible by providing greater independence, mobility, safety, and connection. Through the support of generous donors, volunteers, sponsors, and community members, Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is proud to provide Dog Guides at no cost to those who need them.

As we recognize National Accessibility Week, we also recognize the work that still lies ahead to create a more inclusive world—one where everyone can navigate life with greater freedom and opportunity.

Together, we're helping build a more accessible future.
