πŸ’™ Thank You for Supporting Children's Programming! πŸ’™

Last week, we were thrilled to receive a generous donation from McDonald’s Canada- Brighton, Campbellford & Norwood as a result of their highly successful McHappy Day campaign. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, both Hucklebug Preschool Inc. and the Library received over $1,750.00 to help support children's programming right here in our community.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the owner and staff for organizing and promoting this wonderful initiative. Your enthusiasm, hard work, and commitment to giving back have made a meaningful impact on local children and families.

Thank you again for making this such a successful day. We couldn't be more grateful for your support and partnership! πŸ“šβœ¨

🌼 A Fresh Look for Our Norwood Branch! 🌼

Our Norwood Branch gardens and planters received a beautiful refresh today, helping to create an even more welcoming space for our community to enjoy.

A huge thank you to the Township of Asphodel-Norwood and Norwood & District Horticultural Society for their hard work, time, and dedication in making this happen. Your efforts help keep our library looking its best and make a positive difference for everyone who visits.

Be sure to stop by and check out the refreshed gardens on your next visit! πŸŒΏπŸ“š

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and MΓ©tis Peoples.

One meaningful way to learn, reflect, and connect is through stories. Indigenous authors share powerful perspectives, experiences, and knowledge that help deepen our understanding of the diverse Indigenous communities across Canada.

This month, we invite you to explore books by Indigenous authors at the library. Whether you're interested in fiction, memoirs, history, children's literature, or poetry, there are voices and stories waiting to be discovered.

Visit your local branch and browse our collection, or ask staff for recommendations. Together, we can honour Indigenous voices by listening, learning, and reading πŸ“š
