We had an enjoyable year end Volunteer and Supporter Appreciation event in Lynn Valley this afternoon. We were joined by many volunteers and supporters, including Susie Chant - North Vancouver Seymour, Councillor Tony Valente, and Herman Mah - Councillor for District of North Vancouver.

2025 has been a very busy year, with over 1,000 passenger rides so far, over 60% more than in 2024. And the rides will continue weather permitting! Thank you to Silver Harbour Seniors' Activity Centre for all of their support this year!

On display in the Lynn Valley Village courtyard were Trishaw Mike, and our newest addition, wheelchair-carrying Trishaw Amy! Thank you to Delany's Coffee House, Browns Socialhouse Lynn Valley, and Save-On-Foods for your very generous support of our event!

Meet our newest volunteer, Neil Prissick! Neil is not only a trained trishaw pilot, but he is also an expert operator and driver of wheelchair accessible buses, having been a certified instructor on these vehicles for many years. Neil has been instrumental in helping us provide bus transport for our passengers at senior's residences on the North Shore.

Pictured here with the West Van District's Senior Activity Centre bus, Neil recently helped us take residents at Berkley Care Centre on a ride to see sights on the North Shore in lieu of trishaw rides which had to be cancelled due to rain. Thank you Neil for the important role you play to get our passengers out and about!

We were thrilled to take Mary for a ride along the Green Necklace at Grand Boulevard on the grand occasion of her 100th birthday! She was accompanied by her daughters Wendy and Jacqui.

Mary was born in Bournemouth, England. She came to Vancouver in her mid-20s en route to Australia, but never left! Happy Birthday Mary!

Sneak Peek at our new Trio Trishaw! Trishaw Gary (the one on the right without the decals) arrived a week ago and is being commissioned for use by our base in Lonsdale. This new Trio will allow us to provide rides for our partners in Central Lonsdale including Evergreen House and Margaret Fulton Centre. We will be posting more about our new Trishaw over the next few weeks!

We were at Bridgman Park last week providing rides to senior's residences and members of the public. This year we had access to West Van District Senior's Activity Centre's bus which allowed us to bring residents from Lynn Valley Care Centre and other local senior's residences out for rides! Thank you for your support!

We had an amazing ride with residents at Sunrise Lynn Valley last week - it was a gorgeous day, and we had both our two-seater Trio trishaw Mike and our wheelchair-carrying trishaw Joy. We had so much fun taking residents out and about, and through lovely Kirkstone Park!

We had a lovely time at the Second Annual North Van Bike Fest today at Civic Plaza in North Vancouver. Many people stopped by to talk to us about our trishaws and we had many opportunities to tell them about our services and the four public rides planned for this summer.

It was a thrill to meet Mayor Linda Buchanan who is a longstanding supporter of great biking infrastructure, and a champion for Cycling Without Age North Shore. Thank you for everything you do to make City of North Vancouver such an amazing place to live and work!

We were at the North Shore Senior's Health Expo in West Vancouver today. We brought our two newest trishaws, Jenny the two-seater Trio, and Joy our very special wheelchair-carrying trishaw. Parked at the entrance to the West Van Seniors Activity Centre we had many opportunities to show visitors our trishaws, and we took several out for rides!

We are excited to announce the dates of our free public rides this summer! We are once again offering free rides at Seymour Demonstration Forest and Bridgman Park during July and August - dates in attached image. These rides are free for people with mobility challenges and their caregivers. These four special public ride events are over three days each - Thursday to Saturday - and there are lots of ride opportunities remaining.

If these dates don't work for you call us to book a date and time that is convenient to you! We will make every effort to accommodate you!

Trishaw season is in full swing! We've been busy working with our care residence partners on the North Shore offering their residents rides on our five trishaws along forest trails and quiet streets. We are so fortunate to work with amazing people like Recreation Therapist Susan Lee at Cedarview Lodge (pictured left) and wonderfully supportive family members like Susan (right). They are the ones who make these rides possible!
