This past Saturday, May 31, our North Saanich Fire Department held our annual Muscular Dystrophy Boot Drive at Canadian Tire. This fundraiser is more than just a tradition—it’s a meaningful way for us to stand beside those living with muscular dystrophy and support a cause that touches so many lives. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who stopped by, donated, or offered kind words. Your generosity helps us make a real impact, and we’re proud to serve such a strong and supportive community.

Today, we are honored to receive a special gift from North Saanich Local 5509—a beautifully refurbished bell. While our department continues to grow and change, this bell is a reminder that our traditions and values will always remain at the heart of who we are.

For years, this bell has been more than just a symbol; it has been a part of our family. It rang to celebrate milestones—new jobs, weddings, growing families, and, most importantly, the moment we became members of this association. Now, thanks to the generosity of North Saanich Local 5509, this tradition will continue for generations to come.

This bell is dedicated to every member, past and present, who has shaped our department. It stands as a testament to our shared history, camaraderie, and the strong bonds that unite us.
