Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we celebrate the rich cultures, histories, languages, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

As a child and family-serving organization, we recognize the importance of supporting Indigenous children, youth, families, and communities while honouring their strengths, resilience, and deep connections to culture, land, and community.

National Indigenous Peoples Day is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of Indigenous Peoples. It is also a time to reaffirm our commitment to listening, building meaningful relationships, and supporting the well-being of Indigenous children and families.

We encourage everyone to take time today to learn from, celebrate, and honour Indigenous voices, cultures, and communities.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate all those who provide love, guidance, support, and stability to children and youth.

We recognize fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, foster parents, adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, mentors, and all the caring adults who help children feel safe, valued, and connected.

We also acknowledge that Father’s Day can bring a mix of emotions for many children, families, and caregivers. Today, we honour the diverse experiences and relationships that shape our lives.

Thank you to everyone who shows up for children with patience, compassion, encouragement, and care. Your presence makes a lasting difference.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at PARNIPCAS.

Creating lasting impact requires more than a vision—it requires action.

Our Strategic Pillars are the key priorities that will guide our work and help bring our 2026–2029 Strategic Plan to life.

Grounded in our Mission, Vision, and Values, these pillars provide a clear path forward and will help us create lasting impact for children, youth, families, and communities.

Together, they provide a framework for action, accountability, and meaningful change in the communities we serve.

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can mean the most.

A sincere thank you to the local teacher's union for putting together these beautiful comfort kits for children and youth in care.

Seeing the time, care, and generosity that went into these kits was truly heartwarming. They are a thoughtful reminder that there are people in our community who care deeply about the well-being of young people and want them to feel supported.

Thank you for this beautiful act of kindness. It will mean so much to the children and youth who receive them. ❤️

BayGo is a pilot program providing free transit access to youth aged 12–17 during the summer of 2026.

Eligible youth can obtain a BayGo card starting TODAY at the Wyld/Oak Transit Terminal by presenting a student card or other identification and having their photo taken. Once issued, the BayGo card can be presented when boarding the bus to access free transit throughout the program period. The program runs from June 1 to September 7.

BayGo is a low cost CSWB initiative that helps remove transportation barriers for young people and supports positive choices. It makes it easier for youth to get to recreation, jobs, programs, services, and social opportunities. The program is delivered in partnership with The City of North Bay, Planet Youth Nipissing and with research support from Canadore College.
