For children in foster care, staying connected to their school, teachers, friends and community can provide a sense of stability and belonging when they need it most.

In this video, local educators share why those connections matter—and how foster families can help children stay connected to the people and places they know.

Created in partnership with the Ontario Education Championship Team (OECT), this video highlights the important role educators and foster families can play in helping children remain connected to their schools and communities.

Could you be the safe, caring home a child needs?

Wishing all children and youth a happy first day filled with new friendships, learning and new adventures!

A special thank you to our educators and school staff who do so much more than teach. Schools are safe, supportive places where children can build trusted relationships, be seen, heard and supported. Your care and connection play an important role in keeping children and youth safe.

Thank you to our Back-to-School sponsors for helping children and families start the year feeling prepared and supported.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy and successful school year!
