Our hearts go out to the family of Dani Klok. The loss of a daughter and sister is unimaginable, and we cannot begin to comprehend the depth of this loss for her family and for our community.

The passing of a friend, colleague, and former firefighter of this department has left a profound void—one that is also filled with lasting memories. Dani’s connections throughout the Fire and EMS community across southern Alberta speak to the impact she made, and we are incredibly proud of all she accomplished.

We were fortunate to have Dani serve more than seven years as a firefighter here in Nobleford. She brought unmatched energy and ambition, always willing to take on the toughest challenges and pursue every opportunity to learn and grow. Dani was never afraid to get her hands dirty—she truly embodied the spirit of service and a deep commitment to helping others.

When Dani transitioned to EMS as a full-time paramedic, we felt immense pride, knowing she would continue to excel and make a difference. Serving communities in Raymond, Fort Macleod, and Picture Butte, she was clearly in her element, doing what she loved.

We will miss those unexpected moments of reconnecting on numerous calls and fire events, but we will always cherish the time we shared with Dani—as a friend, a colleague, and a dedicated professional.

Rest Easy Dani.

Tonight we had the pleasure of hosting our 3 mutual aid departments for some extra training at our facility.

Thanks to Picture Butte Emergency Services for organizing and running scenarios, and to Coaldale & District Emergency Services, Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department for working some reps on the structures.

Training together has multiple benefits, but the getting together and camaraderie help grow working relationships.!

Solid work by all!

Late last night crews were alerted to a large outside fire on the edge of Barons by the railway tracks shortly after 10pm. Upon arrival there was a large stack of railway ties fully involved, and spreading in the standing grass.

Nobleford emergency crews worked alongside mutual aid partners and local colonies to extinguish and get the fire under control and finish overhaul around 5am.

Huge thanks to Picture Butte Emergency Services, Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department,Coaldale & District Emergency Services, Carmangay Fire Association for providing mutual aid assistance for water supply and additional apparatuses to surround the fire and work hard through out the night.!

Also another huge thank you to the Whitelake and Keho colonies for additional water supply and back hoe services, Village of Barons staff, Town of Nobleford assistance on working on the village water supply, and a big thank you to the Barons Legion and Salvation army for feeding our crews at 3am.!

Great teamwork by all, this shows how important working alongside and training with our mutual aid partners makes the fireground run smoothly.!
