We are incredibly proud of our parks, facilities, flowers, and public spaces, and our staff work very hard to keep them looking welcoming, bright, fun, and clean for everyone to enjoy.
Unfortunately, we have had another incident of vandalism involving the flowers at the pool, the outdoor washrooms, and other public areas around town. It’s honestly heartbreaking for our staff to see the damage after so much care and effort goes into maintaining these spaces.
We understand flowers and decorations can be tempting to touch or pick, especially for children, but they are there for everyone to enjoy and admire - not to damage or remove. Flowers are for looking, not touching.
The outdoor washrooms are also provided for the community’s convenience, and repeated vandalism makes it difficult and costly to keep these amenities open, clean, and welcoming for everyone. We ask all residents that if you see inappropriate behaviour, please report it!
We kindly ask everyone to please respect our facilities, parks, flowers, and public spaces so they can continue to be enjoyed by the entire community.
