The Willowbank staff and students had the wonderful opportunity to attend/ present/ volunteer at the event.
Highlights of the event:
Ellen Siebel-Achenbach winning the John Edwards Conference Bursary for Heritage Volunteers!!
The 2nd year students presented their impressions of the conference at the closing ceremonies.
Jim Mountain and Katie Houghton were moderators for a session on Heritage Conservation Education.
Everyone got to enjoy the tours and the sessions that were available.

The 2nd years are in Ottawa/Almonte for the week and yesterday was a big day!
1. At Carlton University they participated in a master class on adaptive reuse by Prof Mariana Esponda.
2. Experienced the digital world of CIMS (Carlton Immersive Media Studio) from Adam Weigert and Stephen Fai.
3. Educated about the federal properties with Heather Thomson and Pascal Guindon at the NCC (National Capital Committee).
4. After all of that Jim Mountain took them on a tour of downtown Ottawa and Chinatown to finish off the day. 😌
