June invites us to reflect on what it means to build a Scouting community rooted in belonging.

As we move through the month, we’ll be recognizing Pride Month, Indigenous History Month, and National AccessAbility Week, while continuing to learn how we can create more welcoming spaces for all.

These moments matter, and so does the everyday work of showing up for one another with care, curiosity, and respect.

Our Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts will be out and about New Westminster on Saturday May 30 collecting for our Spring Bottle Drive. If you are not on our route and want to donate, bottles can be dropped off directly at the corner of 1st and Ovens. Hope to see you Saturday!

12th New Westminster Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will be marching in the 2026 Hyack Parade on May 23. Come on down to watch the parade and enjoy the festivities.

Our 3rd year cub scouts are doing a community service project and will be hosting a lemonade stand to raise money for the New West Animal Shelter. If you are out and about on Saturday May 9, come find us at the corner of 5th Ave and 4th street for some fresh squeezed lemonade.

The 12th NW annual Beaver Buggy/Kub Kar/Scout Truck Rally saw a lot of creative builds this year. Congratulations to all our youth for their hard work and creativity!

The 12th New Westminster annual Beaver Buggy / Kub Kar / Scout Truck Rally is next Saturday April 11 in Lower Hume. Races start at 11am. Youth are reminded to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled race time for weigh-in.

Our World Jamboree contingent will have hot dogs and snacks available for purchase, with all funds raised going to help send our scouts to Poland for the World Jamboree in 2027.

Come out and cheer on your favourite Kub Kar and support local scouting in New Westminster.

Come see us in Uptown on Saturday, March 14 for our Spring Apple Day. 12th New West Scouts will be out front of Royal City Centre at 6th and 6th from 10am - 3pm, handing out apples for donation. All funds raised help support local youth getting outdoors and going to camps.

The 12 New Westminster Scouts held their annual all-section camp at Mt. Seymour last month. Scout aged youth got to experience winter camping and cooking in the snow while our younger sections enjoyed cabin bunks.
