Whether you are cheering for an underdog or champions, we all win when we are safe and prepared!

Recognizing the signs of an opioid overdose and knowing what to do can save a life.

Naloxone is safe. Use naloxone even if you’re unsure if someone is actually having an opioid overdose - it won’t hurt them.

False Emergency Calls Have Real Consequences

Every call for service is taken seriously.

False emergency calls divert police, fire, and EMS resources from real emergencies where help is urgently needed.

Making a false emergency call is a criminal offence under the Criminal Code of Canada, punishable by fines, imprisonment, or both. The OPP will investigate and hold those responsible accountable.

False reports have triggered lockdowns and evacuations at schools, public spaces, and government facilities across Ontario.

Not every report of a possible emergency is accurate, and sharing unverified information, including social media posts, can cause similar harm. Report it to the OPP instead of sharing it further. Call 1-888-310-1122 for non-emergencies, or 9-1-1 if there is an immediate threat.

Use emergency services responsibly. ^rl

^md

𝗦peech—is it slurred or jumbled?
𝗧ime—to call 9-1-1

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀, 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟵-𝟭-𝟭 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆.
