A big shoutout and thank you to the awesome students from Northumberland Regional High School who hosted a BBQ as part of their service learning project in support of Pictou County Food Bank East!

Thanks to their hard work and the support of the community, they raised almost $500 for the food bank. What an incredible achievement!

We are so grateful that these students chose to support our organization. đź’•Their enthusiasm, generosity, and commitment to helping others will make a real difference for local individuals and families.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a burger, and helped make the event such a success. We truly appreciate your support!

We are incredibly grateful to Walmart New Glasgow and their amazing customers for their support through the "Fight Hunger. Spark Change." campaign.

The generosity shown throughout this campaign was truly remarkable. Every donation made at the checkout helped support local individuals and families facing food insecurity right here in Pictou County.

We’ve been fortunate enough to receive a generous amount of fresh corn on the cob! 🌽

With the weekend coming up, we want to make sure none of it goes to waste. Anyone who would enjoy some fresh corn this weekend is welcome to stop by our parking lot at 410 Granville Street, New Glasgow, on FRIDAY MAY 29 between 9am -11 am and help themselves while quantities last.

What an incredible final total for Nick’s Annual Food Drive. ❤️

Michelle has shared that the final tally for this year’s drive came to an amazing **$8,326** — the highest amount ever raised in the history of the annual food drive held in Nick’s memory.

Along with the thousands of pounds of food donated, this support will make a real difference for individuals and families across Pictou County.

To everyone who donated, shared, volunteered, organized, encouraged others, or stopped by to support the drive: THANK YOU!! Your kindness continues to turn Nick’s memory into something powerful and positive for our community.

A special thank you once again to Michelle for the love, dedication, and hard work she pours into this event each year. What a beautiful way to honour Nick’s legacy❤️

Over the past month, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming NSCC students into our foodbank through their Service-Learning Program — It has truly been a pleasure having them with us at the foodbank.

Their energy, kindness, willingness to help, and genuine care for our community made a real impact. From lending a hand with daily operations to bringing fresh ideas and smiles to our team, they quickly became part of the foodbank family.

Thank you for your hard work and for choosing to spend your time with us. We wish you all the very best with your continued studies and future careers —
