🌎🍲Join us in honour of International Inuit Day for a special screening of the new National Film Board Documentary Nirilaurta: Let Us Eat

Soaring grocery prices and the high cost of hunting and travel in the North leave many households facing food insecurity. Nirilaurta tells the story of a community that draws on Inuit culture, land-based knowledge and kinship to nourish their bodies, spirits and one another.

This is a free event and everyone is welcome!

📚🎨 Author Talk with Sab Curtis at the Library!

Join us on Wednesday, October 28, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. for an evening with local artist and author Sab Curtis.

Sab will share her experience of living with a brain injury and the seven-year journey that led to her book rewired, a collection of art, poetry, and personal reflections. Through creativity and self-discovery, she explores resilience, healing, and finding a way forward.

This free event takes place at the Nelson Public Library and is open to everyone.
