In honour of Truth and Reconciliation Day, head to Centennial Park this evening for this wonderful event.

Join us on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 for an evening of storytelling, drumming, and reflection.

✨ Elder Al Flamand will raise a Tipi at 6:30 PM beside the Nanton Quality of Life Foundation building.
✨ Elder Cheryle Chagnon-Greyeyes will share the original story of the Orange Shirt and other traditional stories at 7:00 PM, with drumming and singing.

Last Farmers’ Market of the season today, 9am -1pm, Nanton United Church on Hwy2S. Come stock up on your fall produce and then check out the rest of Nanton. Bomber Command Museum and Nanton Grain Elevators are open for tours, and so many shops and eateries to serve you.

It’s an unbelievably beautiful day in Nanton, perfect for heading to the Coutts Centre for Western Canadian Heritage to draw, sketch, paint, take in a talk or just enjoy the scenery! Canadian Grain Elevator Discovery Centre is offering free tours on the hour 10 am - 4 pm for Alberta Open Farm Days, and Bomber Command Museum of Canada is open for tours by donation as usual. Hit the shops and eateries, and make the most of it!
