🎄✨ Elf Trees Are All Across Nanoose! ✨🎄

Have you spotted an Elf Tree around town yet? These joyful little trees are spreading joy in shops and community spaces all across Nanoose — each one filled with wish tags from our very own neighbours. 💛

A warm reminder that gifts are due back in 10 days — by December 10th. If you’ve already picked up a tag, thank you for helping spread a little neighbourly joy. Every gift you give stays right here in Nanoose, supporting local families and brightening homes in our own community.

And if shopping isn’t your thing, that’s okay — we’re gratefully accepting donations to the NCS Elf Project as well.

✨ The Elf Project Is In Full Swing! ✨

The Elf Project is well underway, thanks to the care and commitment of our Community Elf Volunteer Team. With 100% of donations staying right here in Nanoose Bay, this project continues to reflect the kindness and connection that make our community strong.

If you’d like to get involved, there are a few meaningful ways to help:

🎁 Pick a tag from any Elf Tree in Nanoose Bay, and return your gift to any tree by December 10th.
💛 Donate directly to NCS so our volunteers can fill remaining needs.
🙋‍♀️ Volunteer to be a Community Elf and shop for gifts for our Elf Project participants!
🙌 Spread the word to neighbours, friends, and local businesses.

Every act of generosity—big or small—helps ensure all of our neighbours across Nanoose feel supported and cared for this season.

The Results Are In! Fill the Boot 2025 🥾✨

Congratulations Team Springford for claiming this year’s Golden Apple, with an incredible $11,895.23 raised! Your enthusiasm and community spirit made a huge impact.

But let’s give a massive round of applause to Team Red Gap as well, who brought in an amazing $9,309.72 — more than both locations combined last year. This year was nothing short of inspiring. ❤️

Together, you helped raise $21,204.95, enough to power a month and a half of our Food Program. That’s real food on real tables for local Nanoose Bay families, kids, seniors, and neighbours who count on NCS. This is community care in action.

While Team Springford takes home the trophy, both teams have raised the bar sky-high for next year — and we’re already feeling the excitement build. 😄 We are humbled and energized by what this community can do when it rallies together. A special THANK YOU to the Nanoose Bay Fire Department, we are deeply grateful for your all that you do for our community!

Our Elf Trees are officially up across Nanoose Bay! 🎄✨

Each tag on our Elf Trees represents a local child, senior, or family who could use a little extra support this holiday season. Behind every tag is a neighbour—someone right here in our community—who will feel the warmth of your kindness.

How it works:
1️⃣ Visit any Elf Tree location in the community.
2️⃣ Choose a tag that speaks to you.
3️⃣ Purchase the item(s) listed.
4️⃣ Return your unwrapped gift and tag to any Elf Tree location.

That’s it — a simple act that creates true holiday magic.✨

💛 THANK YOU, NANOOSE BAY! 💛

We’re thrilled to share the results from this year’s Fill the Boot for Food — our community raised an incredible $21,204.95! This the highest amount EVER raised for Fill the Boot in Nanoose Bay! 🎉

To put that into perspective, in 2023 you donated $5,440 and in 2024, $8,845. Your generosity and community spirit continue to grow year after year, and this milestone means SO much.

Huge thanks to the Nanoose Bay Fire Department for leading the charge, and to our dedicated NCS volunteers for bringing such heart, energy, and good-natured rivalry to the day. The Golden Apple competition was fierce again — and yes, the winner will be announced Monday the 24th! 🍏✨

This year’s total raised will fully cover 1.5 of our monthly Food Days, supporting our mission to alleviate food insecurity here in Nanoose Bay, and ensuring hundreds of our neighbours will be supported through the holiday season and into 2026.❤️

We’re mostly done tallying up the results from today’s Fill the Boot — and we can officially say this is the largest total we’ve EVER reached for Fill the Boot. You all have completely blown us away with your generosity!! 🤩🙌

Missed the action today? Good news — we’re keeping online donations open for another 24 hours so you can still jump in! 🎉 The competition has been full of surprises, the lead has shifted more than once, and let's just say one team is looking VERY comfortable right now… 😃

BUT, we’re keeping the final tally a secret until every last dollar is counted. 😉 The Golden Apple Trophy winner will be announced Monday evening! ✨
