We want to take this opportunity to thank residents and businesses for clearing the snow and ice from the sidewalks in front of your property. We encourage Nanaimo residents, occupants, tenants, and businesses who will be away/closed this time of year to make arrangements to have your sidewalk and/or storefront cleared while away from home or work.
City crews continue working on the roads and clearing sidewalks in front of City facilities, on bridges, the Waterfront Walkway and E & N Trail. They are also clearing catch basins in order to mitigate against flooding from the melting snow. Watch the video below to see how you too can help decrease the risk of flooding in your area!
