Typhon Investigations

Hello everyone,

Typhon's first lead has shown itself. There is a forest in south Nanaimo that needs proper investigation.
The "circle" out at the Abyss (Extension Ridge) has always given off spooky vibes. Whether it's hippies, First Nations, or cultists, that area of the woods has always been very tranquill.

Agent Aries has been doing research for about a week or so, if any witch's or practioners of basic magic have input, please message immediately!

The biggest running theory is, its Celtic in design, hence the gifts left for the fae, or a woodland spirit.
Doing more research into Gaelic and Norse mythology as well.

This post will go over the different levels of Encounter Ranks.

Rank 5: Witness/ Experience of typically being on a personal level. Whether its being haunted in your bedroom while you sleep, or having a creature stalk your home, a Rank 5 encounter is the most basic. Most people have had Rank 5 Encounters.

Rank 4: Same as a Rank 5, except there is more than one witness. UFO's and USO's are commonly Rank 4. Being as the skies and waters are in view of more than one person. Sounds can also be considered Rank 4.

Rank 3: These encounters are the initiation to becoming an Operator.
There has to be more than two witnesses, and the anomaly has to be within' 20 ft or 6 meters of the induvidual.

Rank 2: This is where the anomaly is effecting someones life. Example: A farmer keeps finding dead livestock, or a hiker had something follow them home. Its become personal for the induvidual.

Rank 1: The anomaly is a direct threat and needs to be dealt with ASAP. These will come as a direct issue from clients and an Agent and Operator are required to investigate. RCMP have no legal authority unless to supervise/ moderate, so having Typhon on the scene is an utmost.

Recruitment process will now start. Anyone who wishes to be a part of our first investigation and help start the team, please send us a message. Team members will be divided into two sects, Agents or Operators.
Both will see field time, and both require the same basic skill set.
Here's a brief description of each role:

Agent: These are our spokespeople. Interviews, questions, and leads all come from Agents. These induviduals must show a commitment to finding cases. Any type of lead must be recorded and documented, whether thats the use of a sound recording device or video camera. (At the clients discretion. )
Agents must also know how to talk to RCMP, and any Government official; ie, "suits" , MIB, Interpol, CSIS, etc. This work attracts the attention of higher powers.

Operator: This is the tougher of the two roles physically.
When it comes to keeping Agents safe, hunting the target, and protecting/ saving the client, you rely on Operators. People who wish be to an Operator require a close encounter with a cryptid or spirit rank 3 or higher. (Rank 3 encounter; more than 2 people present, and the induvidual was within 20 ft of the target. )
This means an Agent can become an Operator if they so wish if they accompany them on a case.
Operator skillset: weaponry, anatomy, biology, and orientation. (Understanding how something lives will help Operators understand how to defeat their target if its aggresive.)

Welcome to everyone who joins this page. All people are welcome, and all input is valid. Theres only one real rule: if you know a lead, you share it.
Seperate Typhon agents and investigators may follow up on these as they see fit, if the original poster is okay with it. (Permission must be granted, these situations effect peoples lives. )

One of Typhon's missions is to find the truth at all costs within' reason. Harming a creature or spirit without proper context might as well be poaching. Some are tied to local legend and culture, so the last thing we need is our team members in harms way due to negligence.
In short; don't confront something of a supernatural or paranormal without being heavily prepared.
