Resource conservation spotlight, snake research edition! 🔍🔦

🐍 Beausoleil Island (Bimadinaagogi) is currently hosting researchers studying snake fungal disease, a wildlife disease that can affect several of the island’s snake species.

👣 If you’re exploring the trails this summer, you may spot researchers carefully checking on snakes to better understand the disease and help protect these important members of the island ecosystem. 🧫

Snakes play a vital role in maintaining healthy ecosystems, and research like this helps Parks Canada make informed conservation decisions for the future. 🔬

These are trained researchers at work – if you see them, please give them space and remember to always admire wildlife from a distance! 💚🌲
