We were honoured to host the Oneida White Corn Resurgence youth for a day of learning, sharing, and connecting on the land. Together, we released turtles and shared teachings about snake boards and beaver trapping, creating space for our youth to learn from one another and from the land.

We also had the opportunity to visit the Oneida White Corn Project site, where we learned directly from the youth about their work, experiences, and teachings surrounding the resurgence of white corn. It was a beautiful opportunity for us to listen, learn, and share knowledge with one another.

Miigwech to the Oneida White Corn Resurgence youth for joining us and sharing your knowledge and energy. A special miigwech to Councillor Trianna Chrisjohn for supporting this gathering and helping create opportunities for our youth to connect, learn, and carry these teachings forward
