Good morning Mount Uniacke! This is a reminder from your friendly neighborhood firefighters that children in our community and throughout the province are returning to school today. Please be mindful of this as you drive in the coming days and weeks. There will be lots of kids on the sidewalks, near roads, and getting on and off of school buses.

Please remember if you see red flashing lights on a school bus you are to to stop and allow children to board or disembark the bus. You must remain stopped until the bus driver extinguishes the red lights.

Good afternoon Mount Uniacke! While we can appreciate very much people cleaning up after their pets and not leaving droppings on local trails or the boardwalk, we would like to ask people to please take the bags home to be disposed of. When they are thrown outside our trash bin, your volunteer firefighters have to clean them up as they are not picked up by trash collectors.
