What is Essential Water Use?

We are asking for continual patience as our water supplier is dealing with challenges in receiving parts for the repairs. Manpower is ready to complete the repairs as soon as parts arrive. The estimated time given was 1-2 weeks. We are hoping that it is sooner as we acknowledge this is not an ideal situation. Essential water use will continue until the repairs are made. Thank you all.

Text messages and phone calls claiming to be from eHealth Saskatchewan are scams. We’ll never call or text you about health card renewal. There’s no charge for a Saskatchewan health card and renewal stickers will be automatically mailed to eligible residents. Don’t click on any links or give out your banking information.

***UPDATE*** Water
The essential water use remains in effect the PUB has not fixed their equipment yet. Water continues to flow to Mortlach at a significantly reduced rate. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

**UPDATE ** - Water... The Village will remain on the essential water use only for at least the remainder of the weekend. The PUB has significantly reduced the water flow to the Village. They ask that we conserve water to reduce the strain on the line. If we do not conserve water we run the risk of running out of water. Thank you for your patience and I will update you if anything changes.

Due to a rescheduled appointment the Mortlach Post Office will be closed today August 28, 2026. The post office will reopen Monday at its regular time. Thank you for your patience.

Village of Mortlach Essential Water Use Only... The Public Utility Board (where our water comes from) is having some issues from the MJ side if the pump station. The Village of Mortlach is on an essential water use only order in case we lose our water supply. You may want to set aside some water now in case our water supply is disrupted. Thank you for you patience. I will update the alert as I know more information.
