**Update**
This afternoon, together with Dominion Divers, Thompson RCMP and Manitoba Hydro we recovered a body from the Nelson River. We want to offer our deepest condolences to James’s loved ones and pray that the Lord brings comfort and healing to everyone involved. ❤️❤️ We want to sincerely thank Manitoba Hydro for their amazing support and provision of transportation and accommodations during this search.

HEART Team is flying to the Kelsey Generating Station in northern Manitoba today to assist in the search for James Redmond, who is presumed drowned in the Nelson River.

We ask you to please keep James’ family in your prayers during this difficult time. Pray also for our team—for safe travels, protection on the water, wisdom in the search, and that God would guide our efforts.

May the Lord go before us and bring comfort, strength, and peace to all involved.

SIGNIFICANT UPDATE!!

TUESDAY JULY 28:
Today, by God’s grace, we located and recovered Wade Gustman from Koocanusa Lake and returned him to his family.

Thank you to all who pray for this mission. Your prayers are felt, and we give God the glory for guiding us safely and allowing a swift recovery.

We are also grateful to those who generously support HEART through donations, enabling us to serve grieving families in their time of need, and to the RCMP for their professionalism and cooperation throughout the operation.

Please continue to pray for Wade’s wife, Noelle, and the Gustman family as they begin the long road of grief and healing. Pray that the Lord would draw near, comfort them, and uphold them with His peace and strength.

MONDAY, JULY 27:
Once again, we are asking for your prayers and support as the HEART Team deploys to British Columbia to assist in the search for Wade Gustman (63) from Claresholm AB, who is presumed to have drowned in Koocanusa Lake while on vacation.

Please keep Wade's family in your prayers as they face the heartbreak of uncertainty. Pray also for the first responders and all the search teams working together, and for our HEART Team as we travel and search. Ask the Lord to grant us safety, wisdom, endurance, and, if it is His will, to lead us to Wade so he can be returned to his loved ones.

Your prayers and encouragement mean more than you know. Thank you for standing with us as we seek to serve families in their darkest hours with compassion, hope, and faith.

Today, the second brother, Aaron, has also been found and recovered.

Our hearts are broken for this family as they continue to live the unimaginable loss of both sons. We pray that God will surround them with His comfort, strength, and peace in the difficult days ahead.

We are deeply grateful to the many search and rescue teams, divers, first responders, volunteers, and community members who worked tirelessly throughout this search. Your dedication and compassion will not be forgotten.

Yesterday brought a bittersweet moment. After days beneath the water, Maximo surfaced and was recovered by his father and the search teams.

Today, the search continues for his brother, Aaron. We remain hopeful, but we are also reminded that there are moments when all our equipment, experience, and determination are not enough.

Ultimately, only God knows where Aaron rests, and only God can bring him up in His time. We pray that He will guide every searcher, strengthen Aaron’s family, and grant them the comfort of His presence during this heartbreaking time.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
