Important Changes to Cheque Cashing Services

Effective Immediately
Due to enhanced anti-money laundering and financial transaction reporting requirements under FINTRAC legislation, Bearspaw Fuel Stations LP and Bearspaw First Nation are required to implement a cheque cashing fee on all cheques presented for cashing.

These measures are being implemented to help ensure compliance with federal regulations and reporting obligations.

Youth Employment & Skills Strategy Positions for the Banff Field Unit!

The Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) is a Federal Government jobs initiative targeted at young Canadians aged 15 to 30. The purpose is to increase employment for youth, enabling them to gain work experience and skills. Parks Canada is committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace by embracing this initiative, and encourages applications by youth facing barriers to employment, in particular visible minorities, Indigenous Canadians and persons with disabilities.

Who can apply? To be eligible, you must be:
➡ Between 15 and 30 years old.
➡ Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person who had been granted refugee status in Canada.
➡ Preference may be given to candidates who self-identify as, Indigenous, visible minorities or persons with disabilities, as well as youth facing barriers to employment. We encourage you to self-identify in your application. Staff Housing is available.

Thanks to Local MLA Sarah Elmeligi for Joining us on the sod turning for new Bearspaw subdivision and recreation development. Water and Wastewater infrastructure to go in this year to service new homes to be brought on next year. 2 Community Baseball Fields and playground to be built as well.
