๐ŸŒˆ Thank You, Morinville! ๐ŸŒˆ

While the weather may have moved Pride Picnic in the Park indoors this year, it didn't dampen the spirit of the day. Families, friends, neighbours, allies, performers, volunteers and community partners came together at the Morinville Leisure Centre to celebrate inclusion, diversity, belonging and connection.

Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, Shoppers Drug Mart (Morinville), our Proud Partner, Sturgeon County, and GFL Environmental, who joined us for the first time this year and served more than 150 hot dogs throughout the afternoon.

We are also grateful to Midstream Support Society, The Flower Shop & Gift Stop, and Tugs: 2 Spirit Drag & Burlesque/Real Deadly Productions, whose donations brought this event to life.

Morinvilleโ€™s Resident Satisfaction Survey invitations are being mailed to households this week.

This is your opportunity to share feedback on Morinville's services, programs, communication, safety, quality of life and community priorities.

Each household will receive a postcard with details on how to participate. Mail delivery times may vary, but Canada Post typically delivers household mail within about three to four business days. The survey is open from June 18 to July 16, 2026.

Nearly 200 older adults joined us throughout the week to celebrate Morinville's Seniors' Week through music, conversation, new friendships, shared meals, and plenty of laughter. And while the rain may have moved Morinville LIVE! indoors, it certainly didn't dampen anyone's spirits.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our presenting sponsor, Chartwell St Albert Retirement Residence. Through the CHARTwell Joy Is Ageless Experience and their support of Seniors Week, they helped create welcoming opportunities for older adults to connect, participate, and celebrate community. They reminded us all that joy truly is ageless.

Thank you as well to our community partners, volunteers, and performers who helped make this week possible. Whether you shared your talents, welcomed guests, served refreshments, entertained a crowd, or simply stopped to connect with a neighbour, you helped create meaningful moments throughout the week.
