PL Law is more than just a law firm. We pride ourselves on being deeply rooted in the communities we service, through personal involvement in various activities and events, or in our commitment to firm contributions and support for same.
Founded by Gordon Putnam and Andrew Lawson in 1996, following a coin-toss, the firm Putnam & Lawson was created. Samantha Huculak joined the firm in 2014, became a partner in 2021, and the
firm rebranded to Putnam Law LLP. After the appointment of Gord to the Alberta Court of Justice in June 2022, and the retirement of Andrew Lawson in December 2024, the firm was renamed on
January 1, 2025, to PL Law. Samantha wanted to recognize the contributions that were made by Gord and Andrew to the Morinville and Sturgeon County region for over 25 years.
Today, you can find Samantha alongside her associates, Mikle Carter and Ayden Putnam, and 12 support staff, continuing to provide a full range of legal services to the community. Whether you are buying or selling a home, looking to create a Will, are starting a new business, have recently lost a loved one, are going through a separation/divorce, have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, or have any other matters you would like to discuss, the team at PL Law are happy to assist.
