🚧 ROAD REPAIR & DETOUR UPDATE 🚧

The Town of Moosomin would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the current road repairs throughout our community. We understand that with multiple projects happening at once, the number of detours and changes to traffic routes can be frustrating and challenging to navigate.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our roads and infrastructure. 🛣️

A very important reminder: Please do not enter or drive through active work zones, even if it appears that there is a clear path through. These areas are active construction sites, and entering them can put you, other drivers, and our site workers at risk.

🚧 Please follow all posted detour signs and traffic control measures.
🚧 Give our crews and contractors plenty of space to work safely.
🚧 Please be patient — we know the detours aren't always convenient!

Thank you, Moosomin, for your continued patience and cooperation while this work is underway. We’re working to get these projects completed as quickly and safely as possible.

Please slow down, follow the signs, and stay out of active work zones.

SCHOOL SAFETY REMINDER 🚸

Back to school's happening tomorrow, and we want to share some important school safety reminders from our local RCMP.

As students head back to school, please remember:

🚗 Slow down in school zones and be extra alert for children crossing the road.

🛑 Obey all signs, crosswalks and crossing guards.

🚌 Be cautious around school buses. If a school bus is stopped with its red lights flashing, you must stop and remain stopped until the red lights are no longer flashing and the bus has finished loading or unloading.

👀 Watch for children who may unexpectedly run into the road. Never assume they see you or know where you are.

↩️ Do not make U-turns in school zones.

🚫 Do not park in designated “No Stopping” areas.

And remember, speeding tickets in a school zone can result in demerit points against your license and increased fines.

Let's all do our part to keep our students, crossing guards, school staff and fellow motorists safe this school year.

Slow down. Stay alert. Give yourself extra time.

💙 Touch a Truck for a GREAT Cause!

The Town of Moosomin was so happy to be invited to Moosomin DQ’s Miracle Treat Day Touch a Truck event last week!

A couple of our employees were happy to take some time out of their day to bring out the Town’s big construction equipment and be part of such a special day.

And what an incredible day it was! 11,196 Blizzards were sold, raising an amazing $52,635.52 for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation!

It truly takes a community coming together to make a difference, and Moosomin showed up in a BIG way! 💙

11,196 Blizzards. $52,635.52 raised. One incredible community & surrounding area!

💙 MOOSOMIN… WE ARE SPEECHLESS. 💙

We knew Miracle Treat Day was going to be a big day… but 11,196 Blizzards?! 😭🍦

Because of YOU, our little Dairy Queen in Moosomin raised an incredible $52,635.52 for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. 💙

But behind that number are thousands of little moments that mean so much to us — the families who came through our doors, the kids choosing their favourite Blizzard, the businesses who sponsored classrooms, the communities who rallied behind us, the people who drove from out of town, the volunteers and delivery drivers, and every single person who bought a Blizzard simply because they wanted to help a child.

And a HUGE thank you to the people who helped make the day extra special for the kids. ❤️

Thank you to our Fire Chief for bringing the firetruck, Hutch’s for bringing an ambulance, the RCMP for sending a cruiser, the Town of Moosomin for bringing out the big construction trucks, and Pattison Ag for bringing a tractor. 🚒🚑🚓🚜

Watching the kids light up when they saw all those vehicles lined up outside the DQ was something we won't forget. Those little moments are what community is all about. ❤️

And to our amazing staff… there truly are no words. You worked your hearts out. You smiled when you were exhausted, kept going when the line seemed endless, and gave absolutely everything you had to make this day happen. We are so incredibly proud of you. ❤️

What makes this day so special isn't just the amount of money we raised. It's knowing that so many communities came together with one common goal — to help sick kids and their families.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.

Thank you for believing in what we do.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for sponsoring.
Thank you for sharing our posts.
Thank you for buying Blizzards.
Thank you for cheering us on.

11,196 Blizzards. $52,635.52. Countless communities. One incredible cause. 💙

We will never, ever take your support for granted.

You helped make some miracles happen. 🥹💙
