Come visit us and our community partners at the “Slow to 60” - SGI road safety event - Monday, June 1 - 5pm-8pm @ 320 North Service Road, Moose Jaw.

In Saskatchewan work zone signs on municipal roads and in urban areas may differ from highway work zones. You’re still required to slow to 60 km/h or the speed that’s posted when you enter the work area, and follow the directions of all signs in the zone.

You also must slow to 60 km/h when:

- approaching a law enforcement vehicle or emergency vehicle when stopped at the side of the road with its lights flashing

- passing Ministry of Highways machinery or equipment when stopped at the side of the road with its lights flashing

- passing a tow or service truck with its amber and/or blue beacon flashing while it’s assisting a vehicle

**Police Dog Retirement- Police Service Dog (PSD) True**

Cst. Woods, along with PSD True, worked their final shift together as part of the Moose Jaw Police Service Canine Unit on May 24, 2026. After a dedicated career that began in 2019, PSD True is officially retiring at the age of 8 years-old.

PSD True, a Belgian Malinois breed, had a great career serving the community of Moose Jaw. Throughout her years of service she assisted in arrests and critical incidents, proving herself to be a dependable and courageous police service dog. PSD True demonstrated the drive, intelligence, and loyalty that would define her career. Throughout their time together Cst. Woods and PSD True formed a strong bond that was built on trust, discipline, and dedication to public safety.

During PSD True's time at the Moose Jaw Police Service she faced dangerous situations in the line of duty, always serving with courage. Her determination and commitment to protecting the community earned her the respect of officers and citizens alike. In 2022, a career highlight for PSD True was competing in the Canadian Police Canine Association National Trials in Camrose, Alberta. PSD True took home first place in obedience, as well as earning trophies in evidence locating and criminal apprehension.

Outside of operational duties, PSD True was a favourite at community events and demonstrations. PSD True loved interacting with children at schools, visiting hospitals, and displaying her PSD skills at community events. PSD True's demeanour made her an incredible ambassador for the Moose Jaw Police Service.

PSD True will now enjoy retirement at home with the Woods family. She will spend her days relaxing, being spoiled, and continuing her role as a loyal companion.

Congratulations, PSD True! Enjoy your well-earned retirement! 🐾🚔 *note- Cst. Woods is not retiring*

**Moose Jaw Police Service K-9 assist in the arrest of male wanted on a Canada-wide warrant**

Over the weekend Moose Jaw Police Service members, with the help of our K-9 unit (PSD Mace), apprehended a male wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Our members collaborated, searched, and located the wanted male hiding inside a residence. PSD Mace helped locate and extract the male from his hiding spot. The male was then safely taken into police custody.

PSD Mace, along with our other K-9 members and their handlers, are truly an invaluable tool when it comes to assisting us in our commitment to public safety in Moose Jaw.

20-year-old Brennen Chance PACZAY was arrested and held in custody facing multiple charges, including: possession of a controlled substance, break/enter and commit theft (x2), trespassing by night (x2), fraudulent use of credit card, attempted break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime, over $5000. PACZAY will appear in Moose Jaw Provincial court May 21, 2026.
