As we board the plane and begin our journey home, we take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible week. It’s bittersweet leaving behind the excitement of competition, but we’re looking forward to celebrating with our families, community partners, supporters, and funders who helped make this experience possible.

Looking out the window, it’s amazing to think about how many skilled trades are represented in a single view. From the aircraft carrying us home to the roads below and the buildings on the horizon, tradespeople are everywhere.

These competitors are our future. They are repairing our vehicles, styling our hair, building our communities, paving our streets, and shaping the world around us every day.

We couldn’t be prouder of Team NB and all they have accomplished this week. Stay tuned as we share some of our favourite moments and highlights from an unforgettable Skills Canada Nationals 2026.

Alors que nous montons à bord de l’avion pour rentrer à la maison, nous prenons un moment pour réfléchir à cette semaine incroyable. Quitter l’effervescence de la compétition est un peu doux-amer, mais nous avons hâte de retrouver nos familles, nos partenaires communautaires, nos commanditaires et nos bailleurs de fonds afin de célébrer ensemble.

En regardant par le hublot, il est impressionnant de penser au nombre de métiers spécialisés représentés dans une seule vue. De l’avion qui nous ramène à la maison aux routes et aux bâtiments que l’on aperçoit au loin, les métiers spécialisés sont partout autour de nous.

Ces compétiteurs et compétitrices représentent notre avenir. Ce sont eux qui réparent nos véhicules, coiffent nos cheveux, construisent nos communautés, pavent nos routes et façonnent le monde qui nous entoure chaque jour.

Nous ne pourrions être plus fiers de l’Équipe N.-B. et de tout ce qu’elle a accompli cette semaine. Restez à l’affût alors que nous partagerons, dans les prochains jours, quelques-uns de nos moments forts et souvenirs préférés de cette inoubliable édition des Olympiades canadiennes des métiers et des technologies 2026.
