What a fantastic evening at our Lions Club monthly meeting! 🦁✨

We had the joy of sharing our latest club service activities and celebrating a very special milestone—the 93rd birthday of our beloved Lion Blanch! 🎉🎂 Thank you for your lifelong dedication and inspiration to us all.

We were also honored to welcome special guests from the Toronto Nigerian Lions Club. Your presence made our fellowship even stronger and brighter! 🌍❤️

The evening continued with an inspiring presentation by Lion Lawrence Onukwuba MJF, candidate for Second Vice District Governor of District A711. He shared his powerful vision, clear goals, and unwavering commitment to moving our district forward. The future looks bright with leaders like him!

The night was truly filled with meaningful fellowship, valuable information, and the warm spirit of service that defines who we are as Lions.

Proud to be part of the A-711 Vision Screening Team this Saturday, January 31st, 2026, as we screen 75 Special Olympic Athletes at Variety Village, Scarborough 🦁👁️💙.

Thank you District A711 Vision Chair, IPDG Lion Julian Austin and all Lions for their leadership, support, and dedication.

Special thanks to Lion Larry Doble, Vision Chair of A-16, for collaborating with us and providing the equipment and refresher training for our screeners.

Truly grateful for the opportunity to give back and support our community.

During Lions Hunger Week (Jan 3-11, 2026), the Mississauga Cooksville Lions Club made a generous donation to support the Nahani Way Public School. We are thrilled to share the heartfelt thanks we received from Teacher & Program Lead Danielle Berger-Friedman:

· Your support has directly strengthened the school's Healthy Snack Program, providing better options and keeping snack bins well-stocked throughout the day.
· Staff are noticing more students accessing nutritious snacks, arriving more settled, and focusing better in class.
· "Your willingness to listen, understand our community, and take action has made a real difference for our students and families."

On behalf of the entire club, we extend our deepest thanks to our dedicated Lion members and to the Rama Gaming House for their crucial support of our fundraising efforts. Your contributions and volunteers spirit make this meaningful impact possible.

The Mississauga Cooksville Lions Club family was filled with festive cheer at our annual Christmas party, where members and their loved ones had a wonderful time enjoying delicious food, sharing laughter, and singing along to beloved Christmas songs—all of which created a joyful, heartwarming atmosphere that perfectly celebrates the community spirit and strong bonds that fuel our service to the community all year long! 🦁🎄✨

Nov 29, 2025. A heartwarming day at The Open Door! 🤝 Our Lions were proud to join forces with the incredible staff and volunteers of the Open Door to serve hot, nourishing meals to over 50 of our neighbours in need.

It's more than just a meal; it's a moment of connection, and support for those going through difficult times. Seeing our community come together to lift each other up is what the Lions Club spirit is all about.

A huge thank you to The Open Door for the vital work you do every single day.

What an honour! 🦁

The Mississauga Cooksville Lions Club has been recognized with a Civic Award of Recognition!

We are so grateful to Mayor Carolyn Parrish and City Council for this incredible acknowledgement of our members' contributions to the community.

The celebration continued as we also received a Certificate of Recognition from Councillor Chris Fonseca and were acknowledged by Councillor Stephen Dasko.

A huge thank you to everyone whose hard work made this possible. This award is for every volunteer who has ever served with us!
