🚧 PARTIAL ROAD CLOSURE REMINDER IN PORT CREDIT, MISSISSAUGA – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2026

Lakeshore Road will be closed between Hurontario Street and Stavebank Road from 12 to 6 PM during the 28th Annual Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues & Jazz Festival for the LIUNA Local 183 Street Shuffle.

➡️ DETOUR: East and west travel through the village, as well as access to the Waterside Inn, Posta Italbar Cucina and Snug Harbour, will be available via Port Street, Park Street and High Street.

⚠️ Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Mississauga

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued an Orange-level Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Mississauga this afternoon and evening.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing:
🌩️ Damaging winds
🧊 Large hail
🌧️ Torrential rainfall
🌪️ Possible tornadoes

Forecast confidence is high, and residents are encouraged to stay informed and be prepared to take shelter if conditions worsen.

How you can prepare:
✅ Clear debris from storm drains near your home
✅ Check downspouts and direct water away from foundations
✅ Secure loose outdoor items
✅ Prepare an emergency kit in case of a power outage
