Diyaa Kaur Bakhshi attained her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with at York University in Toronto and completed a two year diploma in Social Service work in which she was recognized with High Honours from the Sheridan College Institute for Technology and Advanced Learning. Bakhshi has been the Education Director for the Mississauga Branch of the Academy for Mathematics & English since 2015

. She brings to her education centre almost ten years of social work experience in which she worked with a variety of different populations including women, children and newcomers. She has ample experience creating, designing and facilitating groups and curriculums including a Grade 8 Girl’s Club, Support Groups for Women and Book Clubs for adults and teens. Bakhshi has been on numerous non-profit event planning panels including Take Back the Night Halton, 1Billion Rising Halton and multicultural events throughout Oakville, Milton and Burlington. Bakhshi is a dedicated and determined leader that is incredibly patient and empathetic. Her ultimate mission is to combine the tenants of social work with education to ensure not only the academic success of your child, but to also ensure their healthy and prosocial development.

A child’s ability to focus has never been so important – and in such jeopardy. Teachers and school administrators simply should develop some spine, and refuse to let kids and their parents run the classroom
