Think you have what it takes to serve your community? PREP for Peel is a unique, hand-selected outreach program designed to help you take the first step toward a career in policing.

Our outreach team actively scouts potential candidates and extends invitations to participate in the PREP fitness test, giving you the opportunity to experience the physical standards of policing in a supportive and guided environment.

But it doesn’t stop there, selected participants also spend time with Peel Regional Police, gaining real insight into our people, our culture and what a career in policing truly looks like.

This is more than a fitness test! It’s a pathway, a mentorship experience and a chance to see if policing is right for you.

Peel Regional Police are proud to announce the launch of the Guardian Leadership Scholarship. Applications are now open until July 3rd, 2026. 
 
Designed to support the next generation of law enforcement professionals, this scholarship recognizes outstanding students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to public service. 
 
This year, 20 scholarships, $2000.00 each will be awarded to deserving students, 10 women and 10 men, who are pursuing a future career in law enforcement. 
 
Eligibility Requirements: 
 
✔️ Currently enrolled in an accredited Ontario university 
✔️ Entering their 4th or 5th year of academic study 
✔️ Maintaining a minimum academic average of 70% 
✔️ Demonstrating a strong commitment to community service and leadership 
✔️ Proven ability to excel in a team environment 
✔️ Intending to pursue a career in law enforcement
