CLH Developmental Support Services CLH Developmental Support Services provides specialized services to adults, youth and children with developmental disabilities and support needs.

For 60 years, CLH has created an environment of acceptance, encouragement and empowerment for people. CLH Foundation supports the work of CLH Developmental Support Services by creating awareness and gathering resources to provide enriched opportunities for supported individuals in meaningful ways that traditional funding cannot address.

Joseph, Andrea, and Denise had an exciting outing this week at Ripley's Aquarium of Canada! Joseph really enjoyed seeing all the different underwater creatures up close and learning about the different marine life.

After their time at the aquarium, they continued their day by exploring the city, taking in all the hustle and bustle. They also stopped by to check out the new Graffiti exhibit.

What a great day down at the Midland Town Dock for the Rotary Club of Midland’s Random Acts of Kindness Lunch! ☀️

The group kicked things off with a stroll along the waterfront before they made their way over to join in on the fun. There was plenty to keep everyone smiling; free BBQ hotdogs, drinks, Timbits, face painting, and awesome live music from Marlon Gibbons. And as a bonus, they even got to check out the Pearl Mist Cruise Ship in the harbour!🌭🛳️

One of David's goals this year was to meet KC Colby from CTV News, and during a recent outing, that dream unexpectedly became a reality! 🌟

What began as a simple trip to Mrs. H’s Fish N’ Chips for lunch with direct support pro Julie quickly turned into something truly special. While enjoying their meal, Julie noticed that KC happened to be at the restaurant. She couldn't let the moment slip by so she approached KC and asked if he would have a moment to meet David and shared just how meaningful it would be to him.

KC graciously took the time to connect with David, even posing for a photo, helping turn a personal goal into a joyful, unforgettable moment. It is a beautiful reminder of how powerful connection and compassion can be. Julie’s attentiveness and willingness to advocate for David helped make this dream come true.

We are so grateful for these meaningful, unscripted moments that remind us how extraordinary everyday experiences can become. Thank you to Julie for going above and beyond, and to KC for making David’s day one he will never forget! 💜

✨ The annual Spring Fling was an absolute smash hit once again, and it’s safe to say it’s officially one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year at CLH DSS!

This is the night everyone looks forward to; an evening filled with laughter, friends, and unforgettable fun. From dancing the night away to awesome music from the DJ, prizes, and of course, the fan-favourite ice cream bar! 🍦🎶 There was something for everyone to enjoy!

Events like the Spring Fling bring people together, spark connection, and create meaningful memories that last long after the music fades. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the magic happen and bring this incredible evening to life!

CPS was buzzing with excitement last week as we celebrated National Bee Day! 🐝✨

The day was truly the bee’s knees; the group dove into learning about the incredible world of bees, completed fun activity sheets, shared plenty of bee jokes, and even built their own bee houses to support our pollinator friends. It was a sweet ending as they wrapped up the day watching The Bee Movie. 🍯

Hear ye, hear ye! ⚔️🏰

A noble crew; Alex, Susan, Allison, Alyshia, and Ashley, alongside direct support pros Melanie and Nicole, set off for a royal outing at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - Toronto. Their cheers rang loud for the Blue Knight, and although he didn’t claim victory, their spirited support never faltered!

The day was filled with heart-pounding battles, impressive displays of horsemanship, and a feast truly worthy of kings and queens. 🍗👑

Between the excitement of the arena and the laughter shared at the table, it was a fantastic adventure! 🐎

⛳ Chris, Richard, Scott, and Mark along with direct support pros Vickie and Andrea, had an unforgettable day exploring Niagara Falls! They packed the day full of fun adventures, including visiting Movieland, playing mini putt, riding the Niagara Sky Wheel, and of course, taking in the incredible views of the falls and downtown area. 🎡

The trip was especially meaningful for Richard, who was able to cross visiting Niagara Falls off of his wish list. He was happy to accomplish this goal surrounded by his buddies who made the day even more fun!
