Between September 2013 and March 2014, Halifax Public Libraries will be looking to find new and innovative ways to provide library services in the Musquodoboit Valley. Community Librarian Amanda Fullerton will be meeting with community members and organizations in the area to talk about existing services and discuss opportunities for collaboration. Halifax Public Libraries comprises 14 branch libr

aries, a website, and Books-by-Mail and Home Delivery services. The Library serves a population of approximately 400,000 spread over 5,889 sq. The collection consists of over 1 million items - including books, magazines, DVDs, CDs and downloadable audiobooks, eBooks and videos. Halifax Public Libraries welcomes posts and encourages users to take part in discussions and share their views. However, the Library reserves the right to remove posts that:
- are offensive
- are insensitive to others
- include threatening or abusive language
- include political/commercial advertisements

Program taking place in the Musquodoboit Valley Family Resource Centre space above the Haverstock Pharmasave, at 12280 Hwy 224, Middle Musquodoboit.

Playing Centre Stage: theatre games for young actors and for performers who are young at heart.
Come play games and learn to perform in a scene. Dorian Arcturus-Lang is a theatre artist, director and clown who wants to share his love of theatre and performing. Come ready to move, make noises, and play. Ideal for young performers, and encourages participation from the people who drive them around.

Musquodoboit Valley Bicentennial Theatre, 12390 Hwy 224, Middle Musquodoboit

Join us for a lively, musical performance with local pop and soul artist Julia Tynes! She’ll sing and share the stories of the Black musical legends who shaped Motown, R&B, pop, soul, and rock, bringing their songs to life for listeners of all ages.
Participants can sing, clap, and move along to the music as Julia leads a fun and joyful celebration of songs, stories, and smiles for the whole family!
