The Merrickville Fire Department is mourning the loss of Retired Captain Hansen who proudly served the community for 34 years. Captain Hansen was a very passionate person when it came to firefighting and was one of the leading pilers of the department.
We honour the life and service of a brave firefighter whose courage, dedication, and selflessness made a lasting impact on many firefighters and his community. Every call answered by Captain Hansen was a testament to his unwavering commitment to protecting others, often in the face of danger.
Though Captain Hansen is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the lives he touched and the examples he set. We will forever remember his service and be grateful for the sacrifices he made.
Rest in peace Captain. Your watch has ended, but you will never be forgotten.

The Merrickville Firefighters Association extends an invitation to support our first fundraiser of 2024!

Join us on Saturday, April 20th at the Merrickville Community Centre from 9am to 12pm for a pancake breakfast. Your participation will help raise funds for essential equipment for our department.

Tickets:
$12 per person (includes 3 pancakes, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon and a coffee)
$8 for ages 12 and under (includes 2 pancakes, 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon with juice)

Tickets will be available at the door.
