On May 10th, we honour Jordan River Anderson, a young boy who spent his entire life in hospital, not because he had to, but because governments couldn’t agree on who should pay for his care.
He never got to grow up at home with his family.

His story led to Jordan’s Principle, a commitment that First Nations children receive the services they need, when they need them.

But the reality is, many children are still waiting.

Bear Witness Day is about more than awareness. It’s about remembering Jordan, recognizing ongoing inequities, and choosing to stand up.

How to take part:
🩵Host a teddy bear tea party
💛 Share a photo with your teddy bear
🩵 Learn and talk about Jordan’s Principle
💛 Advocate for equitable services for Indigenous children

Because every child deserves care, dignity, and a chance to grow up at home.
Be a witness. 🧸🩵

❤️Red Dress Day❤️

May 5th marks National Day of Awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.

Today, we pause to honour and remember the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people whose lives have been stolen and voices silenced by violence.

Each red dress is a powerful symbol of those we've lost and a call for justice that still echoes through the hearts of those left behind. We wear red in solidarity, to raise awareness, and to stand beside the families and loved ones who continue to carry this pain every day.

Wear red. Speak their names. Never forget.

Take a moment to see what your community is doing and show your support. ❤️
