What a fantastic Father's Day celebration at Cumberland Villas! ♠️♥️♣️♦️

Our card-themed afternoon was filled with laughter, memories, and a special cake made with love. Residents enjoyed sharing stories and reminiscing as we played our "Price Is Right Through the Decades" game, guessing the prices of everyday items from the 1940s through the 1990s. Many of our residents remembered those prices better than the staff did! 😄

Most importantly, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures in our community and spend time together like family.

What a wonderful day of celebration at Cumberland Villas!

This week, we had the incredible privilege of celebrating a very special milestone as Elsie Zulyniak turned 100 years young. Friends, family, residents, and staff came together to fill the room with laughter, stories, memories, and heartfelt well wishes for Elsie on her big day.

We were honoured to welcome Linda Heshka, a representative on behalf of the Mayor, who shared kind words and congratulations, helping make the occasion even more memorable. Elsie was also crowned with a special birthday crown, fitting for the guest of honour as she enjoyed her moment in the spotlight.

Moments like these remind us that Cumberland Villas is more than a place to live—it's a community and a family. We celebrate life's milestones together, support one another, and create memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Happy 100th Birthday, Elsie! Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a remarkable celebration. ❤️🎉🎂

The June birthdays showed up in such large numbers this month that we started wondering if we should have reserved an entire cake just for them! 😆

Fortunately, there was enough celebration, laughter, and sweetness to go around. We are so grateful to celebrate each of you and the joy you bring to our community.

Well… Len was at it again. 🎶💃

The music started, the dancing followed, and before long happy hour turned into a full afternoon party at Cumberland Villas! From toe-tapping country tunes to lively crowd favorites, Len Gadica kept the room buzzing with energy, laughter, singing, and plenty of dancing.

Residents gathered with drinks in hand, friends by their side, and smiles that lasted the whole afternoon. Safe to say Len knows exactly how to get a room moving! 🍻✨

What a beautiful afternoon of music at Cumberland Villas. 🎹✨

We had the pleasure of hosting a piano recital featuring 7 talented students who bravely sat at the piano and played their hearts out for all of us. We know there were probably some nervous butterflies beforehand, but you would never have guessed once the music started!

It takes courage to perform in front of a room full of people, and these young musicians did an incredible job.

Thank you to the students and their piano teacher Shaelynn for sharing your talents with us. We loved every minute of it and hope to welcome you back again 💛

🎶🤧 Colds? Maybe. Staying quiet? Absolutely not.

Our sing-along at Cumberland Villas still hit all the right notes this week — even if a few of them were a little extra raspy. 😅 Residents showed up ready to sing, laugh, and fully commit to every chorus like we were headlining a world tour.

Proof that not even sniffles can stop a good sing-along around here!

What a wonderful afternoon with Patricia Hack! 📚✨

We were so excited to welcome Patricia to Cumberland Villas, and judging by the crowd, many others were too.

The room was filled with laughter, conversation, heartfelt stories, and plenty of excitement as residents and guests had the chance to meet the author and have their books signed.

A big thank you as well to CMHA Melville for partnering with us for this special event — and for bringing the delicious donuts from Nellie’s Bakery in Melville. 🍩💛

Wall to wall, seat to seat — and yes, we’re pretty sure every chair in the building was in use! 😄Cumberland Villas was absolutely packed for the incredible Regina German Choir! 🎶

Residents and guests were treated to a beautiful afternoon of music, laughter, and community as the choir filled the room with stunning harmonies in both English and German. Even when we didn’t know every word, the music spoke for itself. ❤️

And as if the music wasn’t enough, they also spoiled us with delicious treats that disappeared far too quickly for pictures! 😄

A huge thank you to the choir for sharing their talent and joy with us. We are already looking forward to welcoming them back again — keep your eyes open for the next poster when it comes out!

Some people bring warmth wherever they go… and apparently we bring a love for birthday cake🎂💛

This month, we celebrated our May birthdays at Cumberland Villas with good company, lots of laughter, and a room full of familiar faces gathered together.

The conversations were lively, the cake disappeared quickly, and the smiles said it all.

There was a little extra sparkle at Cumberland Villas this Mother’s Day. 💐✨

From shopping racks and cheerful conversations to Shirley Temples, Mint spritzers, and plenty of laughter, the afternoon was all about celebrating the amazing women in our community.

Residents enjoyed a special shopping experience with Corinne Sapara from Melville Appliance & Mattress Center Out of the Box Store, turning the day into more than just a celebration — it became a chance to feel spoiled, connected, and appreciated.

We are so thankful for the mothers, grandmothers, sisters, friends, and caregivers who bring warmth, wisdom, and love into their lives every single day. ❤️
