We are pleased to introduce the St. Mary’s School Student Curated Collection, now available in our online merch shop!

This special collection was inspired, created, and designed entirely by St. Mary’s School grade 9 student faith leaders, supported by Miss Leighton and The Faith Shop apparel.

Inspired by our new division merch shop, students were eager to share faith messages in a way that is meaningful to their peers. This collection is a true example of faith in action 🙌🫶

We are so proud of these young leaders for using their gifts and voices to create something that beautifully represents the spirit of our division!

⚾️ Colts are Alberta Premier Baseball League Champions 🏆️

The Monsignor McCoy Senior Colts are Alberta Premier Baseball League (APBL) Champions after a hard-fought victory last night in Lethbridge, defeating Catholic Central (reigning back to back champions) by a score of 13-11 in extra innings.

Competing as the only Medicine Hat high school baseball program in the APBL, the Colts once again demonstrate a high level of skill and dedication in Alberta high school baseball. Their championship win marks an incredible achievement for both Colts baseball and the Monsignor McCoy High School athletics program.

In addition to the team’s championship success, the Colts coaching staff were also recognized with the APBL Coaching Staff of the Year award- an honour highlighting their leadership, development of student-athletes, and continued excellence within the league.

Congratulations Cole Schreiber (Head Coach), Paul Schlosser (Assistant Coach), Chad Frey (Assistant Coach). ➡️ These incredible coaches are also dedicated teachers at Notre Dame Academy, Monsignor McCoy, and Mother Teresa School.

The victory caps off a remarkable season for the Colts, who continue to set the standard for high school baseball in Medicine Hat. GO COLTS GO 👏🎉

We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Danielle Bernath, St. Louis School Administrative Assistant, is the Face of Christ Award recipient for the 2025-2026 school year ✝️🎉

Mrs. Bernath has been an important part of our Medicine Hat Catholic family for several years and shines her light wherever her role takes her. She started her journey at Mother Teresa School in 2017 and has been at St. Louis School since 2022.

Danielle was nominated by her school Principal, Mr. Ron Blackmer, and the staff of St. Louis School who were unanimously in favour of this recognition. The group felt called to recognize her for her compassion, kindness and genuine positive impact she makes within their school community each and every day.

“Danielle is truly the heart of our school. Through her words and actions, on a daily basis, she takes the time to treat every individual with dignity and kindness.” Says Principal, Ron Blackmer. “Whether it be a preschool kiddo, an elderly grandparent who is raising their grandchild, or a new parent who doesn’t speak English and is unfamiliar with our school system, Danielle is there to offer guidance and support with the heart of Jesus. Her patience and understanding are exemplary as she juggles the many expectations required of her role!”

The Face of Christ Award is a division award that acknowledges a support staff member for providing outstanding support to their school community. Danielle will be recognized at the Public Board Meeting on June 9 at 1:00 P.M., held at Central Office and live-streamed on our YouTube Channel.

Congratulations Danielle!

Last week trustees, senior administration, Alberta Education Project Manager Marteen Dalke, Principal Brad van Middelkoop, Councillor Yusuf Mohammed, and Councillor Stuart Young, took part in a guided tour of the Holy Trinity Academy construction site led by LEAR Construction and FWBA Architects.

During the visit, the group had the opportunity to walk through the developing facility and witness firsthand the impressive progress being made. Attendees were struck by the scale of the building, the quality of construction to date, and the thoughtful intention reflected in the school’s overall design and learning spaces.

The tour highlighted not only how far the project has come, but also the vision shaping Holy Trinity Academy as a state of the art, inclusive, community-minded facility!

We are pleased to share that construction remains on schedule, with the school on track to open in the fall of 2027. To learn more about Holy Trinity Academy visit www.holytrinitymh.ca
