We’re looking for approximately 60–70 corn husks to help decorate our beautiful little town for fall! 🌽🍁

Did you know? Run Off-the-Grid gives back to our local community!
As we get ready for our 16th annual ROTG, we wanted to share a little more about what happens beyond the trails.
Each year, proceeds from ROTG are donated to the Mattawa & Area Food Bank. To date, we’re proud to have donated over $18,000 - and that number continues to grow!
𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝟒𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐬! 👟
Throughout September, shoes can be dropped off at the Mattawa Information Centre, where you’ll find a large collection box. Fill out a ballot when you donate for your chance to win one of three 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬:
🌲 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬 for 2 guests
🔥 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐚 + 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬 for up to 6 guests
❄️ 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 (includes tubing) for up to 4 guests
And remember - there are lots of ways to be part of ROTG!

A big thank you to the person who posted on Facebook to let us know that one of our parking signs was upside down. We don’t always catch everything right away, so we appreciate when residents notice things and bring them to our attention!

Tomorrow, our children will once again be travelling to and from school. Let’s make every ride, every walk and every trip home a safe one.

🛑 STOP FOR THE SCHOOL BUS.
🐢 SLOW DOWN.
👀 PAY ATTENTION.
🚸 WATCH FOR CHILDREN WALKING TO AND FROM SCHOOL.

Remember, when you see those RED FLASHING LIGHTS and the STOP ARM OUT — STOP! It could be the one decision that saves a child’s life.

Our children are counting on us. Let’s get them to school safely — and bring them home safely.

This beautiful girl was picked up in the Hurdman Street area. She is wearing a pink or faded red collar. If you know who's dog this is or if it is yours please contact the Municipal Office as soon as possible at 705-744-5611.
