Marystown Volunteer Fire Department The Marystown Volunteer Fire Department serves approximately 5,400 residents. We also have our first fire truck, Engine #1, which is on display in the Gerard J.

The Marystown Volunteer Fire Department serves approximately 5,400 residents from the centrally located Fire Hall at 97-105 McGettigan Boulevard. The Fire Department has 30 very dedicated volunteer firefighters who serve the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Our Firefighters are always busy answering emergency calls, training to protect their residents, and participating

in community events. Our Department has a fleet which consists of a Fire Chief's Vehicle (Unit #1), Ladder Truck (Ladder #1), 2 Pumper Trucks (Engine #2 & #3), 2 Rescue Vehicles (Rescue #4 & #6), Pick-up Truck (Mobile #5), and a Hovercraft. Flushing of Fire Hydrants - Wednesday, September 9th, 2026

The Public Works Department will be flushing the fire hydrants on Water Street West on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 starting at 9:00 a.m.

Residents asked to turn on their outside taps to mitigate issues with discoloration.

We are returning from a Reported Fire in a wooded area behind Atlantic Crescent. Command Unit, Engine #2 & Rescue #4 returning to the Fire Hall, Ladder #1 stood down, all units clear. The RCMP also attended to the scene.
