The Royal Canadian Air Cadets is a national youth organization for teens aged 12 to 18, sponsored and run by the Air Cadet League (a civilian organization) and the Department of National Defence. Major Lo has officially completed a successful term as our Commanding Officer and is relinquishing command on 9 June 2026. We are incredibly grateful for her years of guidance, support, and incredible energy. 💫

883 has reached unseen heights under her leadership, achieving many firsts and huge wins for our cadets ✨ Thank you, ma'am! ❤️

Captain Fung will be assuming command of our squadron, proudly being the second 883 Alumni to become our Commanding Officer. Capt Fung, we are excited to see what's to come in our journey together!

🔥 883 SPORTS COMPETITION: YEAR 3 🔥

On May 2 and 3, we were proud to host our annual Sports Competition for units from NGTA and COA! 🌟 This year, continuing our 2 day competition, we introduced Ultimate Frisbee to our sport roster 🥏

Congratulations to all teams who participated! The weekend was a true showcase of athleticism, teamwork, and sportmanship 💯

883 was proud to bring home some medals:

🏸 BADMINTON
Female Singles: WO2 D. Long (1st), WO2 C. Cha (3rd)
Female Doubles: LAC A. Xie + LAC E. Ng (3rd)
Male Singles: LAC Z. Wang (4th)

IT'S OFFICIAL‼️We got a new CHIEF in the house 🏡

On 29 April 2026, we celebrated another first in 883 history: we held our SECOND Change of Appointment Ceremonies in ONE training year 🗓️

WO1 R. Singh has been accepted into to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science 💻 While this is incredibly EXCITING news, it unfortunately marks the end of WO1 Singh's cadet career 😪 From all of us at 883, we thank you for your years of tireless commitment and dedication We wish you the best in your journey ahead and know that you will continue to do us proud 🫶🏻 We miss you already!🥺

MONDAY MEMORIES: Aviation ADA 2026 ✈️

Back in March, our cadets participated in our Elemental ADA at Centennial College - Downsview Campus! This is an aerospace-focused campus, supporting Aviation Technician and Aerospace Manufacturing programs. 🌟

Our cadets toured incredible aviation facilities and explored various career pathways within the aviation industry (yes, there's more than becoming a pilot!). ✈️

🏵️ APRIL CO's PARADE 🏵️

Yet another FANTASTIC CO's Parade complete! Staff were proud to witness such tremendous growth from all our cadets - uniforms and drill is not something you can perfect overnight!

Our SSC also took the time to show their appreciation for our cadets' effort for Spring Tagging, offering a raffle draw and prizes for our top cadets! Congratulations everyone for yet another great weekend and thank you for your dedication! 👏🏻💛

We were also excited to present WO2 Cha with her Bronze Standard Duke of Edinburgh Award. WO2 Cha diligently worked towards a goal for 26 weeks in various activity sections including physical recreation, skill development, and adventurous journey. Bravo Zulu!

Last but not least, our CO was proud to promote two cadets to Warrant Officer Second Class. Congratulations to WO2 Lucas Li and WO2 Aaron Liu 🥳 We look forward to the great strides your cadets will continue to make under your leadership 🌟
