STILL TIME TO SIGN UP FOR our Summer Book Club with Laurie Serle and read...
The Lost Library by Rebecca Stead & Wendy Mass.
• For kids going into Grades 5 to 9 this Fall (current Grades 4 to 8)
• Participants will be expected to read approximately 50 pages before each meeting
• Four, 30-minute book club meetings will be held starting July 8 or 9 in the afternoon to discuss the book, ask questions and swap ideas
• Held in-person at Manitou Library’s Reading Garden or inside in the Reading area
• Manitou Library will bring in the books for you to borrow

When registering please indicate current Grade, preference of day (Wednesday or Thursday), cell number and email address.

Heads up for Adobe Digital Editions users!
Later this month, new users downloading library eBooks through Adobe Digital Editions will need to create a ByteBooks ID instead of an Adobe ID.
Most Libby and Kindle users will NOT be affected. This change mainly impacts users who download EPUB/PDF eBooks to a computer or transfer them to an eReader.
Existing Adobe Digital Editions users should continue to work as normal unless reauthorization is needed.
If you need assistance in creating a ByteBooks ID, please come into your local South Central Regional Library, and we will be happy to assist you! ❤

🎨📖 Storytime & Craft: Aprons for Dad! 📖🎨

Looking for the perfect, heartwarming Father’s Day gift? Join us at the Manitou Library for a special family event!

We’ll start with a cozy storytime, and then families can work together to create a beautiful keepsake apron for Dad, personalized with your very own family photos! 🛠️❤️ It’s a one-of-a-kind gift he will treasure forever.

📅 When: Saturday, June 20 at 10:30 AM
📍 Where: Manitou Library
💰 Cost: $10 (Covers one apron per family and all necessary crafting supplies!)

⚠️ Important Details:

Space is limited to 6 families and pre-registration is required!

📸 Photos needed: To ensure we have your photos ready for the craft, please email 2 to 3 family photos to the library ahead of time.

June so soon?! Check out June's prompt for the Adult Reading Challenge ...
A Book with a Question in the Title!
Have you signed up for the Adult Reading Challenge yet? You should! You could win a Kobo Libre Colour eReader! All you need to do is head to your local South Central Regional Library to sign up and then you will receive a bookmark to help you keep track. We're going ticketless, so when you've finished reading your monthly book, be sure to go into the library to report and earn your entry! Once you've finished that month's prompt, you just need to wait for the next prompt announcement!
You can read in your preferred format (Audiobook, Graphic Novel, etc.) and the book does not need to be owned by South Central Regional Library to count. You can read anything you want (that fits the monthly prompt)! If you're not able to read that month's prompt, that's okay, you can always make time to earn the ticket at a time suitable for you.

Join us at the Manitou Library Garden for our annual Seed & Plant Exchange!

How it works:
Bring: Seeds, live plants, cuttings, or garden pots to swap.

Take: Walk away with new green treasures for your own garden! Take home whatever you can use.
