Halloween is only 14 days away!!! If that doesn’t scare all of you unprepared parents who haven’t nailed down their family’s Halloween costumes yet I don’t know what will!! 🦇 In all fairness with this nice weather I think we all maybe feel like it’s still September 🫣

So slow down on eating all of that Halloween candy that you bought early and get your kiddos registered with us for our Halloween Party.
And maybe go buy more candy just in case 😉 Time is running out!

***Attn: Makwa residents who plan on being home to receive trick-or-treaters: do NOT donate your candy to our party. We do not want you to feel pressure to donate candy plus hand out candy at your home. Donations are arranged to help those who either don’t receive trick-or-treaters or those who won’t be home but still want to participate.

Thank you to the Makwa Lions for donating $200 to our event and thank you to all of our residents for making sure our kids enjoy a safe and memorable Halloween every year. Feel free to contact us with any questions or if you’d like to volunteer at our party serving food from the rink kitchen.

✨ We are excited to announce that we are planning to host our 3rd annual fundraiser supper and dance! We even gave it an official event name- Harvest Ball.

Tickets for this event will be available Monday Oct.21 from Marsollier Petroleum in Makwa during business hours or from any of our rec board members. You must purchase super tickets in advance- they will NOT be available at the door.

We will also be accepting silent auction item donations and cheesecake or pies for our dessert. If you would like to contribute to our event in another way please let us know how you wish to become involved. We appreciate all of the efforts from our community to help us with this event each year.
