Appreciation Post ❤️
Today was what we call “Deep End Day” at the pool. One of the most important and hardest days of our entire preseason.
It’s the day when everything has to align: the weather, the sunshine, the temperature, and the final painting of the deepest part of the pool. It’s also the day when our Manager (Vada) and Assistant Manager (Zach) work from sun up to sun down to get the final stretch of painting done.
What many people don’t realize is that our pool naturally has groundwater that seeps up from below, so every year we battle to keep the deep end dry long enough to complete the work.
This year brought an unexpected challenge when we discovered a new leak after the pool had already been drained. With time working against us, the pressure was on. A pool cannot remain empty for long without risking damage, so staying on schedule was critical.
After a long day of troubleshooting and problem-solving, and pure exhaustion, we made a call to Billy LeBlanc Painting (Billy).
Within minutes, Billy came to our rescue.
Without hesitation, he stepped away from his own personal family time, rallied members of his team, and arrived with the tools, equipment, and expertise we needed to get the job done. Thanks to their help, we were able to stay on schedule and are now preparing to begin filling the pool this weekend.
There are not enough words to express our gratitude. What happened today was a perfect example of small-town community spirit at its finest. When we needed help, they showed up.
From all of us at the pool, thank you Billy (and your team). We truly couldn’t have done it without you.
Today reminded us that while a pool may be made of concrete and water, it is built on the people who care enough to show up when it matters most.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. ❤️ CV
