Hey Everyone! It's that time of the year again. Movie in the Park is back! We kick off the season with our first movie, The Pacifier, on Thursday, June 25th. Starting around 9 PM, just after dusk, the movie begins. At the movie, there will be a concession with popcorn, candy, and drinks available for purchase.

Hey everyone! Canada Day is coming up soon, and we wanted to share some information about the event details:

The Canada Day event will be taking place in the Oval Park on Wednesday, July 1st, and will have outdoor activities and games going on throughout the day around the Oval. Hot dogs and cake will be available throughout the day, for purchase by donation. There will also be outdoor game stations and a fish pond game for the kids. Bring your bike to our bike decorating station, where supplies are provided and enter it into the bike parade.

The Lumby pool will have free public swim during the Canada Day event. And the Lumby Public Market will be stationed out there as well.

Hey everyone! The Lumby & District Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Centre will be closed on Monday, May 18th, for the long weekend and will reopen on Tuesday, May 19th.

Thank you for the great weekend at the Community Showcase Event,

And big thanks to RONA and Cruise The Okanagan for making this entire event possible. The turnout for this event was unbelievable. There were so many cool cars and 4x4's to see, the Burnout Pit had so much energy, and it brought so many community members together throughout the day!

Lunch is on us and the future of your business is on the menu!

We're teaming up with the Lumby & District Chamber of Commerce next month to help local entrepreneurs sharpen their skills.

Running a business often feels like a solo marathon, but for two days at the White Valley Community Centre, you can pause the hustle to connect with peers and gain fresh insights.

The journey begins on May 20th and continues May 21st, with both sessions running from 12 to 1 PM.

To make the deal even sweeter, we are serving up a delicious lunch from the local legends at Ida’s Bakery. There is nothing quite like a fresh sandwich and a community brainstorm to recharge your professional batteries.

The Downtown Community Showcase is back on Saturday, May 9, 2026, and we can’t wait to fill our streets with local businesses, community groups, and plenty of downtown specials.

It’s a day to shop local, catch up with neighbours, check out the Car Show by Cruising the Okanagan, the 4x4 Show & Shine, the Burnout Pit @ 2pm, and just enjoy everything that makes our little town special.

The Lumby Downtown Community Showcase is back and we want your business/organization to participate! Saturday, May 9th, 10 am to 2 pm marks the beginning of another fantastic Lumby Summer.

The event will include a Car Show organized by Crusining the Okanagan, alongside a variety of amazing local businesses to explore. This showcase welcomes visitors to our community, offering an opportunity to enjoy the spring weather and discover the various businesses in our area. It aims to boost community awareness and provide support to local businesses.

With the rise in traffic due to the car show and other exciting activities in Lumby, we encourage your businesses to make the most of the increased visitor traffic.

Here's how you can participate:

If you have a downtown storefront, get involved by offering samples, one-day specials, discounts, demos, giveaways, or anything that can attract people to your shop.

For businesses without a storefront, don't worry! The Lumby Chamber of Commerce has outdoor space downtown available for you. Set up an outdoor display alongside other exhibitors and leverage the day to your advantage with samples, demos, giveaways, discounts, volunteer sign-ups and more creative ideas.

The downtown showcase is free of charge. The Lumby Chamber of Commerce aims to host a lively event to kick off summer and provide opportunities for businesses and organizations to benefit.
