s to see and do – plan to spend the whole day! Your first stop is the Visitor Centre, just beyond the modern town of Louisbourg. You’ll take a 7-minute bus ride from the Visitor Centre to the Fortress. Remember to bring your camera, comfy shoes and warm clothing!

📍 We’re in Shoulder Season at the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site!

🤔What is Shoulder Season, you might ask? What does that mean? Shoulder Season starts today, May 18th and will end on June 30th, 2026.

📅We are open daily, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During this time, you can explore several of our buildings featuring exhibits. By the end of June, the site will start to come alive with costumed interpreters as we gear up for peak season. 🎉
